Down and Out

Mikey had first gotten the flu bug last Saturday and I felt so bad for him. He had to miss Sesame Street Live with Grandma and Grandpa too! My poor baby!

Now I am sick with the flu. UGH!  I woke up Wednesday morning feeling so ill. Oh man did it suck! Still not feeling better and it is Sunday. I sure do hope this virus leaves my body soon because I am so sick of feeling nauseaous!

Weirdness

That is the only word that comes to mind right now if I need to describe my life. Actually, that is probably the wrong word, but hey, it was the first thing that came to mind as I started to type ;-)

Why is it weird?

Mikey's surgery is in 2 days! That is weird to me... It seems like we just found out about this condition during his ultrasound and here we are 2 years later! Time has flown by! My parent's are relocating to Germany in 3 days. That too is weird! My parents have lived in the same house since I was in kindergarten... and they will not be there anymore.

Maybe surreal is a better adjective...

Getting Engaged

I noticed that I do not have anything posted in the "wife" category, so I thought let's take a trip down memory lane!

My husband Mike had proposed to me on November 26, 2003, the night before Thanksgiving. There were candles lit and the only light was from the Christmas Tree we had already put up and decorated. He took me over to look at for the ornaments that he made as a child. He was pointing a few out here and there, then he said "Hey, look at this one!" So I look on the tree and there was a diamond ring on a branch. It took me a second to process what I just saw and before I knew it, Mike was down on bended knee asking me to marry him.  My reply...

"shutup!"

It was in a "I can't believe this is happening I am so excited" tone of voice. Then my real answer of "Yes!" came next.

He really did catch me by surprise and that is all I had ever wanted! Not to mention it was incredibly cute and romantic too!

Oops!

Mikey has a habit of grabbing the camera and sticking his little fingers on the lens. Unbeknownst to me...

Ha, that just made me laugh!

Quiet Car

My car battery died the other day from leaving my headlights on. OOPS! But I have to say I blame my car... I drive a 95 Honda Civic and there is no "you left your headlights on ding" when you turn off your car. I have had my car now for 8 years and this is not the first time I have had to get my car jumped. It is rather annoying if I do say so myself! I have not had my battery replaced since I have owned my car so I decide to get it replaced over the weekend.

After a Honda loses power the radio will not work until you punch in the radio code. I know I have this number written down at home, but impatient me  just had to try to put it in as soon as the mechanic finished. Well, I didn't realize that after so many incorrect attempts your radio would lock up!

Doh!

Luckily I found out that if you have your radio turned on for an hour it will reset itself and you will be able to enter your code, the correct way. So I as I drove home the other day after about 4 days of silence in the car I hear a BEEP! I thought it was my cell phone beeping and then I realized it was the radio... so I punch in the magic number and TA-DA!!! Music! Ahh, that is more like it!!!
